Military
Requirements: Designated MOS for this position
is 88M38. Minimum ASVAB score of 90 in area OF, a physical demands rating
of very heavy, a physical profile of 222222, and a valid state driver’s
license. Selectee must be able to distinguish between red and green.
Selected individual must become MOS qualified and complete ABIC within one
year from the date of appointment. Applicants will review the
qualifications for the award of this MOS in Department of the Army
Pamphlet (DA PAM) 611-21. Failure to review these qualifications may
result in the applicant not being eligible for the position. PCS/PERDIEM
WILL NOT BE PAID. |

Area
of Consideration: All members of the Nebraska Army
National Guard and persons who are eligible for enlistment or transfer into the
Nebraska Army National Guard may submit applications for this
position.
General
Requirements:
I. The ability to communicate
effectively, both orally and in writing.
2. The ability to display as a role
model in a MOS-T environment.
3. The ability to conduct instruction
in a military environment.
4. Valid state and military license is
required.
5. Meet and maintain height/weight and
APFT standards.
Summary
of Duties: Supervise drivers performing
preventive maintenance checks and services (PMCS) on vehicles. Operates in the truck compound as a squad leader. Trains new
drivers and manages the driver sustainment training program. Plans, organizes,
and operates a motor vehicle convoy. Performs convoy route
reconnaissance. Commands convoy march serial.
Takes charge of vehicle recovery. Provide the specialty and technical MOS
critical task skills and knowledge to perform duties as a motor transport
operator of medium tactical wheeled vehicles under varying field conditions.
Provide initial entry training to those enlisted Soldiers that are being
reclassified. Operate medium tactical vehicles, with/without semi-trailer,
on/off road, over a tactical convoy route within a convoy. Operate vehicle under
blackout conditions; perform preventative maintenance checks; perform operator
records maintenance and accident forms checks. Employ risk management to
effectively preclude unacceptable risk to the safety of personnel and property
affiliated with this course. Enforce the environmental requirements delineated
by TRADOC to ensure all procedures include sound environmental practices. Hiring subject to Continuing Resolution Funding.

1. Certified copy
of DA Form 2-1.
2. Five latest
NCO-ER's. A letter of
recommendation or performance evaluation must be submitted on soldiers not
requiring a NCO-ER.
3. Copy of DA Form 705, Army Physical
Fitness Test Scorecard, listing last four APFT scores.
4. Statement of all active duty performed
(DD Form 214, NGB Form 22, NGB Form 23, or any other forms that show active duty
service).
5. Semi-annual weigh-in
form
