FULL TIME NATIONAL GUARD DUTY OPERATIONAL SUPPORT (FTNGD= OS) VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT

Position Title: Department of Homeland Security Vulnerability Assessment Team Leader	Location: JFHQ-NE, J3, JDOMS = &nbs= p; Lincoln, NE
Military Grade Range: Minimum O2/1LT- Maximum O3/CPT
Military Requirements: Designated MOS for this positi= on is immaterial. Must be able to pass the APFT and meet Height and Weight requirements. Th= is position is open to both male and female applicants. Length of tour is un= til 30 September 2010, tour continuation for FY11 is contingent upon funding availability. Applicants will review the qualifications for this position prior to application. Failure to review these qualifications may result in the applicant not being eligible for the position. If Selected, individual must live within 65 miles of duty assignment. PCS/PERDIEM WILL NOT BE PAID.

General Requirements:

1.= Military ski= lls include, but are not limited to the following: Special Forces/Military Police, Engineering/Explosive Ordinance Disposal, Combat Arms, Logistics, Intellige= nce, and Communications.

2. Requested Civilian skill sets incl= ude, but are not limited to the following: Civil, electrical, or mechanical engineering; rail or ground transportation systems planning; law enforcemen= t; electrical or mechanical maintenance; heating, ventilation, and air cooling= systems (HVAC); Emergency Management, fire and rescue; and safety systems training.=

= Summary of Duties:
Responsible for supervision and day to day operations of the Team. Ensures that training policies, procedures, and standards are followed.&nb= sp; Plans, schedules, projects resource requirements, and supervises the production of required consolidated reports and database submissions. Responsible for the Implementation= of training and the development of the training program. Coordinates activitie= s of the team with the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Protective Security Advisor (PSA) associated with assigned site visit. Ensures all logistical requirement= s are met for assigned visits and is responsible for personnel and equipment accountability. Regarding the= site visit process, the TL focuses on gathering general and administrative data related to site or facility and identifies mechanisms the site utilizes for collecting or receiving threat information as well as researches past assessments conducted on site or facility.= Coordinates with the PSA and/or facility representatives in order to obtain company information, i.e. company security plan, disaster preparedne= ss plan, standard operating procedures, etc. and disseminating that informatio= n to the team. Gathers all applica= ble contact information from those persons involved in the site visit process f= or a particular site. Collaborates= with team members and PSA to determine Significant Areas or Assets (SAA) and ens= ures all team members have SAA information imported in appropriate data base. Facilitates team meetings and out-= brief rehearsals. Conduct discussio= ns and presentations in front of small to medium sized groups. Above average oral = and written communications skills are essential. Extended travel may be required, especially within FEMA Region VII (Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, and Nebraska)

&nb= sp; 4. Statement of all active duty perfo= rmed (DD Form 214, NGB Form 22, NGB Form 23, or any other forms that show active duty service).
