ACTIVE GUARD RESERVE VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT

Position Title: Small Group Leader	Location: 209^th RTI, Camp Ashland, NE
Military Grade Range: Minimum SGT/E5 - Maximum SSG/E6
Military Requirements: Designated MOS for this position 00F which is MOS immaterial. Incumbent must be or become TAIT= C, SGITC, and Combat Lifesaver qualified, meet and maintain APFT standards in all three events, meet and maintain HT/WT standards. Have no limiting profiles that prevent them from being able to lead up-front, i.e., running with their group during PT, performing credible demonstrations, etc. Must have completed BNCOC Phase = 1 and 2 and have no flagging actions and. Must meet the leadership experience requirements of having successfully served as a squad leader (or equivalent) for 2 years as evidenced by an NCOER and must have the rank of SSG with skill level 30 l= eadership experience.&n= bsp; Leadership experience is defined as successful completion of a ski= ll level 30 position which requires supervising subordinates within the scope of the MOS. The length of time is dependent = upon ONE of the following conditions with evidentiary proof such as an NCOER;<= span style=3D'mso-spacerun:yes'> 6 months in a combat zone (not necessary in a leadership position);&nbs= p; a successful short tour (1 year) in a leadership position; success= ful completion of two years in the appropriate skill level leadership positio= n.

Area of Consideration: All current on-board AGR soldiers of the Nebraska Army National Guard may submit applications for this position.

Category 1: Lateral Transfers of on-board AGR personnel. (SSG/E6 - SSG/E6). If you re= quire a stabilization waiver it needs to be approved NLT the closing date of this announcement. Any stabilization waivers received for applications after the clo= sing date will not be considered for the position.

Category 2: Enlisted Promotion System (EPS) of on-board AGR (Overall E-6 EPS list). <= /span>

Category 3: All on= -board AGR soldiers of the Nebraska Army National Guard.

General Requirements:

1.&n= bsp;    Knowledge of military training management.

2.&n= bsp;    The ability to display oneself as a role model and mentor.

3.&n= bsp;    The ability to conduct instruction = in a military environment.

4.&n= bsp;    Must adhere rigorously to Army standards and as such must be obvious standard bearers of basic skills and physical fitness. (Must have no limiting physical profiles)

5.&n= bsp;    Possesses an understanding of the current Contemporary Operating Environment (COE) and Opposing Forces (OPFOR= ).

6.     Must be within commuting distance of Camp Ashland.=

7.     A valid state driver’s license required.

8.     Meet/maintain height/weight standards.

Summary of Duties: Responsible for training first line supervisors. Conducts training at squad level in accordance with TRADOC approved Warrior Leader Course (WLC) Program of Instruction (POI) as outlined by the United States Sergeants Major Academy (USASMA). Conducts training a= nd retraining, counseling, inspections, drill and ceremonies, physical fitness training and evaluates student performance as required by the POI. Assists in pre= paring reports and a DA Form 1059 on each student within the squad documenting ove= rall performance. Operates vehicles up to 5-ton capacity, including 44-passenge= r bus. Makes appropriate recommendations = to Platoon Sergeant or Branch Chief on any student not meeting course standard= s.

&nb= sp;     2. Five latest NCO-ER's. A letter of recommendation or performance evaluation must be submitted on soldiers not requiring a NCO-ER= .

&nb= sp;     3. Copy of DA Form 705, Army Physical Fitness Test Scorecard, listing last four APFT scores.

&nb= sp;     4. Statement of all active duty perfo= rmed (DD Form 214, NGB Form 22, NGB Form 23, or any other forms that show active duty service).

&nb= sp;     5. Semi-annual weigh-in form

Statement of all Active Duty performed IS NOT REQUIRED FOR AGR PERSONNEL.<= /span>
