With the deployment of our service men and women, there has been an increase in the number of web sites and mass emails regarding information sharing networks for families of deployed service members. These, with few exceptions, are not affiliated with nor are they approved by the Government and should be looked at with a suspicious eye. Information that appears harmless at first may give someone more information than you anticipated. Also, this information may be used by others as a means for credit card or identity theft. In general, if you don't know the person who sent you the email or are unsure about the web site, please do not provide them any information.
